Hangover Haven Tea Blend (Hair of the herb)
One teaspoon (approx. 2g) of the blend per cup of tea should be a good serving size. This would provide about 10- 12 servings from a 25g batch. No more than 1-2 cups per day.
Boil and strain:
Bring a cup of water to a boil on the stove or in the kettle. Once the water has boiled, turn off the heat. Add the hot water to a pot or mug, then add 1-2 teaspoons of the herbs. Let the herbs steep for 5-15 minutes, depending on how strong you want the taste. After steeping, strain the herbs and enjoy your herbal infusion!
Use a tea strainer:
Bring a cup of water to a boil on the stove or in the kettle. Once the water has boiled, turn off the heat. Add the water to a mug with a tea strainer containing 1-2 teaspoons of the herbs, and let it steep for 5-15 minutes, depending on how strong you want the taste. Potential interactions:
It may interact with Antiplatelet and Anticoagulant drugs (blood thinners), Drugs for high blood pressure, Diuretics (water pills), Drugs for diabetes, Lithium, Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), Antacids, Ciproflaxin (Cipro), Medications broken down by the liver and Medications that slow blood clotting. It can also interact with drugs that treat high cholesterol, infections, insomnia, and blood pressure. Schisandra may also increase blood levels of tacrolimus, an immunosuppressant, in liver transplant patients.
Side effects:
Side effects are uncommon with this blend, but discontinue use if any occur and always stick to the recommended dose. The side effects listed are not exhaustive. If you experience any unexpected symptoms or severe side effects (such as an allergic reaction or loss of breath), you should seek immediate medical attention. Occasional side effects include mild stomach upset, fluid retention, sweating, diarrhoea, decreased appetite, stomach pain, heartburn, acid indigestion, and raised blood sugar which may interfere with diabetes management. Rarely this blend could cause nausea, itching bloating, mouth sores and Increased stomach acid. It might increase the risk of bruising and bleeding in people with bleeding disorders.
